Rarely avaiable is this wonderful teak coffee table by renowned manufacturers France & Son also known as France & Daverkosen
Founded in 1948 Denmark by the British businessman Charles France and his Danish partner Eric Daverkosen. In the early years the company was called France & Daverkosen, Charles’s son James joined the company in 1957 which resulted in the name change to France & Son. They had an incredible rostra of designers producing work for them which reads like a who’s who of design at the time, they included Arne Vodder, Grete Jalk, Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen, Inger Klingenberg, Finn Juhl, Ole Wanscher, Greve Sigvard Bernadotte and Edvard & Tove Kindt Larsen.
This coffee table is a extremely well made, solid and much desired for its sculptured appearence. It’s simple yet stylish elegance would look great in any mid century home or even office setting.
There is the Fd made in Denmark on the underside of the table.
Condition: Very Good — This vintage item has no defects, but it may show slight traces of use.
